Urge your lawmakers to strengthen educational options for families and students
In 2019, state lawmakers introduced a bill that would have taken funds set aside for state-authorized charter schools and returned it to the general fund, where it would be available for any purpose. Fortunately, the bill did not gain the support it needed to make it out of the House Education Committee.
Unfortunately, proponents of this measure believe this could be the year to get it passed because of increased support in the House and Senate.
Effective education policy recognizes that each child is unique – that they all have different interests, talents, and needs. What works well for one child may not work for another and that’s why Colorado families need educational freedom.
Help us encourage our elected officials to promote innovation in education and support legislation that will strengthen our educational options for families and students across the state – including our charter schools!
