For decades, Congress used the tax code to provide tax breaks and carve outs that helped their favored interests, often at the expense of everyone else. Industries like rum distilling, motor sports, green energy and horse racing are just a few that benefitted.
At the end of last year, Congress passed historic tax reform that simplified the tax code, making it fairer, flatter and simpler. Now, Congress must deliver again for hard-working Americans, by opposing any efforts to enact new tax breaks to special interests as part of the upcoming spending bill.
Congress must pass a spending bill be March 23. Sign the letter to tell your lawmakers you oppose special handouts for favored industries.
