Before COVID-19, employer tax relief spurred New Hampshire’s economy to unprecedented heights. The state experienced record business tax revenue, unemployment, and workforce growth after employer tax relief went into effect. Yet, some politicians want to make it even harder for our state’s economy to recover by increasing taxes on small businesses and employers.
We should be increasing opportunity for small businesses to thrive, not force them to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for tax increases. Legislators have an opportunity to help reignite our economy, attract new businesses, and protect small businesses and residents from harmful tax increases. Yet, they are reluctant to even bring this issue to the floor and debate it.
Send officials a message and let them know it’s irresponsible to refuse to discuss this issue that affects so many Granite Staters.
