The Lake County Board of Commissioners is attempting to raise taxes, moving the tourist development tax from 4% to 5%.
While the tax may be directed at tourists and visitors, locals will have to pay too.
Every time prices are raised, less people are able to visit, and when less people visit that means less money for local shops and less jobs for locals.
Instead of keeping money in Lake County residents’ pockets, this proposed tax increase will go towards pet projects that won’t bring value to the community at large.
Encourage the Lake County Board of Commissioners to vote NO on raising the tourist development tax!
