Oppose a Property Tax Hike in Palm Beach.
The Palm Beach County School Board is looking to raise school property taxes by $150 million to cover budget shortfalls. That requires residents to pay four times the rate they pay now.
Now $25 per $100,000, the school property tax rate would be increased to $100 per $100,000, should the proposed increase pass.
Instead of forcing hardworking residents to foot the bill, board members should focus on cutting wasteful spending. Tell board members to reject this property tax increase today!
Please do not increase the school property tax. The proposal you're considering would compel residents to pay quadruple the current rate. I don't think that's fair.
Instead of forcing hardworking residents to hand over more of their money to cover budgetary shortfalls, I ask you to focus on cutting wasteful spending.
Please oppose a property tax increase — Palm Beach County families deserve better.
