Gov. Doug Burgum has issued several executive orders that greatly increase North Dakota’s capacity to fight COVID-19 and expand access to health care.
He has loosened licensing requirements that previously barred out-of-state providers from treating North Dakota patients, lifting a huge burden from our health care system.
What’s more, his support for telemedicine expansion will also protect public health, increase access to care, encourage necessary social distancing to prevent further infections, and allow us to more effectively combat COVID-19.
Thank Gov. Burgum for his swift and effective efforts to protect public health and encourage him to take further action to expand access to health care.
