Let’s Cut Unnecessary Red Tape in Montana!

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our state government suspended 130 regulations to help businesses keep their doors open amidst shutdowns and emergency mandates.

Recently, lawmakers in Helena met to discuss House Bill 158, which would create a commission to study the effects of these suspended government regulations that were scaled back in Montana during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HB 158 would create and empower a new commission to conduct an analysis of these regulations that affected Montana’s businesses and consumers.

Montana deserves economic opportunity, and we suspect that the 130 regulations already on the books are mostly red tape.

If we don’t need these regulations during a state of emergency, we likely don’t need them at all.
