Under a directive from the Trump administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services expanded its Medicare telemedicine coverage to combat COVID-19.
This allows physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical psychologists and licensed clinical social workers to offer telemedicine to Medicare beneficiaries in any healthcare facility, as well as from their homes. Now, vulnerable patients better able to access care remotely, reducing potential exposure to COVID-19.
President Trump’s decision to expand telemedicine services will reduce the burden on the health system, improve access to health care and increase social distancing
Thank President Trump for this critical move during the COVID-19 health crisis. And encourage him to continue to back measures that give Americans greater health care access and options.
