House Bill 1332 would transform health care in the commonwealth in two simple ways:
- It directs regulators to identifying barriers keeping telehealth from being used throughout Virginia’s health care system.
- It removes barriers within Medicaid, allowing it to reimburse health care professionals for telemedicine and remote patient monitoring in emergency situations.
Identifying and removing these barriers would increase access to health care, lower costs, and decrease needless trips to the emergency room and time spent in waiting rooms.
HB 1332 is currently in the House Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee. Send those committee members a message today, urging them to support the bill!
