In Arkansas and Indiana, 775,000 able-bodied adults were added to Medicaid rolls after expansion. There are now more than 3,200 disabled children and adults on waiting lists for services in Arkansas. In Indiana, there are 1,626 disabled Medicaid patients waiting for care.
Gov. Tony Evers is proposing Medicaid expansion as part of his budget, and lawmakers are now considering Senate Bill 59 and Assembly Bill 56 to also expand the program.
