Earlier this year, Gov. Sununu vetoed two bills that included ratepayer subsidies for renewable energies that are more expensive than traditional energy sources. Everyone else would have been on the hook for higher energy rates to pay for these subsidies.
State representatives are attempting to override the governor’s veto in a vote on September 13. Overturning this veto would inflate the cost of energy in the state. These subsidies are unfair to New Hampshire ratepayers who already pay some of the highest energy costs in the country.
Gov. Sununu did his part to protect Granite State ratepayers. Don’t let state representatives undo this veto. Contact your officials to tell them to protect ratepayers and leave the governor’s veto intact.
