Under an executive order from Governor Laura Kelly, licensed doctors are able to prescribe medication after an appropriate telemedicine consultation.
Gov. Kelly’s decision also allows all medical providers to perform health care services using telemedicine. Now, vulnerable patients are better able to access care remotely, reducing potential exposure to COVID-19.
Gov. Kelly’s decision to expand telemedicine services and allow for emergency licensing for out of state providers will reduce the burden on Kansas' health system, improve access to health care and increase social distancing.
Thank Gov. Kelly for this critical move during the COVID-19 health crisis. And encourage her to continue to back measures which remove regulatory barriers to give Kansans greater health care access and more options without costing the state great financial burden.
