Gov. Kevin Stitt recently issued an executive order that:
- Directs all state agencies to review administrative rules and regulations to identify ones that are costly, ineffective, duplicative and outdated.
- Requires that state agencies remove two regulations for every one new regulation created, with the goal of reducing regulatory requirements by at least 25%.
This is a big step forward. Reviewing the role regulations play in Oklahoma’s success will increase government transparency and help taxpayers see exactly how their hard-earned dollars are spent.
Overly burdensome, unnecessary government restrictions slow down the economy and hold people back. Send Gov. Stitt a message today and thank him for cutting red tape in Oklahoma!
