The team in Arizona has been working closely with Governor Ducey’s Administration on response efforts during the current public health pandemic crisis. The Governor’s office has been receptive to implemented several common-sense solutions to help combat COVID-19, and we want to thank them for taking actions toward:
- Expanding access to health care and by freeing up physicians for other needed medical services by and allowing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide the care they were trained to. exempting Arizona from a federal regulation requiring Certified Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to be supervised by a physician.
- Expanding telemedicine coverage for all services that would normally be covered for an in-person visit.
- Allowing Medicaid patients to receive telehealth services from their home.
- Allowing Medicaid to reimburse providers who deliver remote patient monitoring services. for conditions beyond chronic heart failure.
Send Governor Ducey a note of gratitude for implementing common-sense solutions to combat COVID-19 in Arizona and encourage him to work with legislators to make these reforms permanent beyond the executive order!
