Prince William County officials are debating how to fund a $35 million project to build a new minor league baseball stadium for the Potomac Nationals.
The team’s wealthy owners have turned to taxpayers for a multimillion-dollar handout for a new stadium.
Now, county supervisors have denied residents a public referendum on the issue by suggesting the issue doesn’t qualify for a vote! But not Supervisors Ruth Anderson, Maureen Caddigan, Pete Candland and Jeanine Lawson!
These supervisors voted to let you have a say against this misuse of taxpayer dollars.
Thank Supervisors Ruth Anderson, Maureen Caddigan, Pete Candland, and Jeanine Lawson for standing up for the taxpayer and opposing corporate welfare!
