During the past legislative session, some lawmakers chose to put Colorado families and principled legislating first. They opposed tax hikes and supported legislation that broke down barriers and improved freedom in our state. These lawmakers deserve our thanks and our encouragement to keep up the fight for freedom.
AFP-CO would like to recognize the legislators who stood for freedom by sponsoring legislation, voting in committee, and voting on the floor of the legislature for policies that increase individual freedom and opportunity.
Our grassroots lobbying activities, digital ads, mail, texting, phone calls, and more across the state centered around the following areas: 1) Taxes/Economic Opportunity: SB21-260; 2) Criminal Justice Reform: HB21-1214; 3) Free Expression: HB21-1321; 4) Business: HB21-1027; 5) Education: HB21-1295; and 6) Health Care: SB21-175, HB21-1232.
Legislators were made aware of votes included in the scorecard through key vote alerts and activist engagement during the session.
