Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) provide health care to families every single day. But outdated regulations are limiting the benefits APRNs and other healthcare providers could be bringing to Kansans.
Current scope-of-practice laws require unnecessary doctor supervision of APRNs. Removing this barrier will allow them to continue to make health care more affordable and accessible to Kansas families, especially those living in rural areas of the state.
With the current healthcare provider shortage, we need to make permanent the reforms which allowed APRNs to have fewer barriers to treat COVID patients and have it apply to all patients. The need to expand APRNs’ scope of practice is stronger than ever before. Tell your lawmakers it’s time to free APRNs from unnecessary regulation and give Kansans from every walk of life better health care options.
