Physician Assistants (PAs) provide health care to families every single day. But outdated regulations are limiting the benefits PAs and other healthcare providers could be bringing to Virginians.
Current scope-of-practice laws require unnecessary doctor supervision of PAs. Expanding scope of practice will allow them to continue to make health care more affordable and accessible to Virginia families, especially those living in rural areas of the state.
With the current healthcare provider shortage, the need to expand PAs’ scope of practice is stronger than ever before. Tell your lawmakers it’s time to free PAs from unnecessary regulation and give Virginians better health care options.
