Show you support Senate Bill 69!
Over the last decade, some Kansans have experienced a 70 percent hike in electricity rates.
Now, Kansas has an energy poverty problem. Households with incomes below 50 percent of the federal poverty level pay 30 percent of their annual income toward their home energy bills.
Businesses in our state face a competitive disadvantage as industrial rates in Kansas are also higher than their regional peers.
Thankfully, our lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 69. This bill would commission a much-needed, rigorous and independent study of electric utilities that will help figure out why our electricity rates are so high.
These sky-high electricity rates are hurting families and businesses across the state. Sign this petition to show you support SB 69 and fair electricity rates!
