Stop lawmakers from making it more expensive to drive!
Enough is never enough for the Fort Wayne City Council. In 2016, the City Council passed a wheel tax that made it more expensive for the residents of Fort Wayne to get where they need to go.
This tax is going to cost taxpayers almost $5 million each year for street and sidewalk repairs by requiring car, motorcycle, RV and trailer owners to pay a wheel tax. Councilman John Crawford says the current $15 million annual revenue isn’t enough to repair the roads in Fort Wayne.
Crawford says he needs at least $21 million of your hard-earned tax dollars each year instead.
