Gov. Brian Kemp has taken swift and effective action to expand access to health care, protect Georgia’s public health and combat COVID-19.
Under an emergency executive order, Gov. Kemp lifted licensing barriers to allow health care providers to work in Georgia, regardless of the state in which they are licensed. As a result, more Georgians will be able to get the care they need from professionals trained to provide it.
What’s more, Gov. Kemp has lifted regulatory restrictions on commercial truck drivers. This move will allow those professionals to keep stores stocked with the supplies Georgians need to weather this crisis.
And, he’s lifted onerous hospital bed restrictions, in order to free up providers to offer more care to sick patients.
