This Rule Would Expand Access to Affordable Health Coverage!
The Trump administration has proposed a new rule that could potentially help empower 10 million workers to get the affordable private health coverage of their choice.
The rule, announced by the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury, would allow businesses that either can’t afford to offer good coverage, or can only offer a single option, to fund a health reimbursement account (HRA) for a worker to buy health insurance tax-free.
This rule will expand coverage and grant employees more health care options. Where before a small business couldn’t afford to offer coverage, now they can offer an HRA to offset some of the cost of policies for their workers.
